Wirral Level 2 Meet

Just five weeks into the new season and a number of aerobic sets behind them twenty one of our swimmers made the short trip under the Mersey to compete at Wirral Metro's Level 2 gala.
In total our swimmers swam in 101 races and achieved 26 personal best times. Swimming personal best times so early in the season is very encouraging as the reason we enter this gala to get the swimmers back into race mode and to blow off the cobwebs after the summer break.
Fourteen swimmers swam at least one pb with Eric Byrne achieving four out of the four races he swam, Jessica Lee, Jason Evans and Ben Shiels achieved three with the biggest pb coming from Tom Wilde who entered 3:48 for his 200m Breaststroke and swam 3:26, a massive 22 second improvement.
Even though some swimmers were disappointed with their swims the photograph shows that at least out the pool some of our swimmers were in good spirits.
