Skill Development Squad
Over the last six weeks swimmers in our Skill Development Squad have been working towards stages 7, 8 and 9 of Swim England's Learn to Swim programme. Swimmers completing Stage 7, amongst other tasks, had to push and glide and complete 25 metres on all four strokes, tread water using eggbeater action for 30 seconds and complete a sitting or standing dive. Swimmers completing Stage 8 ,amongst other tasks, had to push off the wall streamline and kick for 25 metres on all four strokes, perform a turn on each stroke from 10 metres in to the wall and 15 metres out and swim continuously for 400 metres (16 lengths) and those swimmers completing Stage 9 had to, amongst other tasks, swim continuously for 800 metres (32 lengths), complete 100m individual medley and 16 x 50m front crawl off a set time (1:30) using good technique.
As you can see from the photographs below those swimmers who collected their certificate and badge at Wednesday's session seem very happy with their achievements. Well done swimmers!!
