Return to swimming Covid update

Dear Parents/ Carers/SwimmersI hope you are all well and have had a good summer. As Covid lead for Garston swimming club I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome swimmers back and to update you regarding Covid rules and restrictions.I am pleased to inform you that Garston, Halewood, Speke & Picton have advised that all restrictions are lifted. This means:Swimmers and spectators will not be mandated to wear a mask on entering any of these venues.Parents will be allowed to observe at all pools.Swimmers will be allowed to use showers and changing facilities, again across all venues. As a club we highly regard the importance of safety of our swimmers, coaches and volunteers. Whilst you are allowed to observe swimmers  we ask that follow the basic principles of Covid prevention including good hand washing, complying with the governments advise and avoiding close contact. We will also continue to provide hand gel and ask that swimmers comply with its use unless contraindicated. Can I ask you to remind swimmers that only 1 child should be in a changing cubicle at a time, we do not advocate sharing. We will continue to ask whether the swimmer has had any of the following:Signs or symptoms of CovidBeen asked to self isolate. We appreciate your patience during this time and as a club we are delighted to welcome you back: unfortunately Covid has not gone away and we ask you to comply with government guidance. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.Beat wishes SueClub Committee
